Job Description

Company Overview Holly Lake Ranch Association is a vibrant gated community established in 1971, nestled within the scenic piney woods of the region. Our community offers an array of amenities, including an 18-hole golf course designed by a renowned professional, practice facilities, lakes for fishing, and swimming, tennis courts, nature trails, a fitness center, swimming pools, a restaurant, and a private airport. We are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of our land while providing exceptional recreational and hospitality experiences for our members. We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about golf and hospitality who thrives in a lively environment. As an integral part of our golf operations, you will support daily course activities, assist with member and guest services, and help manage events and tournaments. Your leadership skills will shine as you supervise staff shifts and ensure seamless service delivery across all golf-related activities. Responsibilities including however, not limited to: Assist in managing daily golf operations to ensure smooth course flow and excellent guest experiences Support event management efforts for tournaments, club outings, and special functions Provide golf coaching/lessons for members, as requested Supervise staff during shifts, providing guidance on customer service standards and operational procedures Deliver exceptional guest services by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly Maintain handicap records Assist patrons by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations Maintain Pro Shop operations, scheduling of tee times, inventory, and general product sales Oversee cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records during pro shop transactions Contribute to report writing related to daily operations, event summaries, and staff performance Assist with the development, enforcement, and updating of department standard operating procedures, desktop procedures, and daily operational activities Lead by example in promoting a welcoming atmosphere that encourages member engagement and satisfaction Qualifications Previous supervising or management experience within a hospitality or resort setting is highly preferred Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations In pursuit of a PGA Apprentice - Level 1 or higher Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Experience in event management, including planning and executing tournaments or social gatherings Ability to work weekends and holidays Ability to handle shift management responsibilities confidently and efficiently Familiarity with report writing, cash handling procedures, and guest services standards Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory Join us to be part of a lively community where your leadership can make a real impact!
