Job Description

Position Hours of Work:
SUNDAYS TO THURSDAYS FROM 7PM TO 3
30AM
MAIN DUTIES
: Under general supervision, performs a variety of product and baking duties such as assisting with the preparation of pastries.
Job Duties:
Inventory Take inventory of all frozen products and all mise en place first thing every shift. Utilize the inventory list to complete and assess the production list for the day. Production & Baking Potentially mix, shape, and/or bake pastries Meets production and baking timeline targets. Reads and follows printed recipes and protocols for recipes (mixing instructions, etc.). Assist in shaping croissant, danish, kougin amman, and other products Consistently meet production and baking timeline targets. Be knowledgeable in all mixes for cakes, cookies, frangipane, and granola. Read and follow printed recipes and protocols for recipes (mixing instructions, etc.). Communication Be reliable and punctual at all times. Participate in training activities as required. Undertake and follow through on any reasonable task or request made by Management. Be courteous and professional with all colleagues. Inform Management of all complaints or incidents. Safety & Sanitation Keep the workspace clean and neat at all times. Completely clean work area before leaving. Ensure that you keep a high standard of personal hygiene, your clothing is kept clean, and that your hair is pulled back at all times. Be fully aware of the commissary's fire and safety regulations and abide by them. Essential Functions / Physical Requirements The employee is required to stand for the majority of his/her day (8 plus hours per day). The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read measurements, do math calculations, and follow recipes. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Work Environment :
Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, flour dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
