Full-Time | Overnight / Night Shift Position Summary Chaumont Bakery is seeking a skilled and dependable Night Shift Baker to join our Distribution Center team in Culver City. This role is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods while maintaining the consistency, craftsmanship, and standards that define the Chaumont brand. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in preparing products for daily distribution to all Chaumont retail locations and wholesale partners. Due to the proprietary nature of our recipes and production methods, all Bakers are required to maintain strict confidentiality and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as a condition of employment.

Wholesale Production & Distribution Key Responsibilities Production & Baking Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of breads, viennoiserie, pastries, and specialty baked products according to Chaumont standards. Follow production schedules and recipes accurately. Scale, mix, shape, proof, bake, and finish products as assigned. Monitor product quality, consistency, appearance, and yield. Maintain proper baking temperatures, proofing conditions, and production timelines. Ensure products meet company presentation and quality standards before distribution. Food Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift. Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO procedures. Report any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or product inconsistencies immediately. Team & Operations Support Work collaboratively with Bakers, Laminators, Dough Production Team Members, Decorators, and Packing Teams. Assist with production planning and inventory usage. Support large production runs and seasonal volume increases. Maintain productivity while ensuring accuracy and quality. Confidentiality & Brand Protection Protect proprietary recipes, formulas, production processes, and company information. Adhere to all confidentiality and intellectual property policies. Sign and comply with the Chaumont Bakery Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of professional baking experience. Ability to read and follow recipes and production schedules. Knowledge of bread, pastry, and laminated dough production. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Experience in high-volume bakery production environments. Experience working with artisan breads and French-style bakery products. Food Handler Certification. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Push and pull bakery racks and production equipment. Perform repetitive motions including mixing, shaping, and loading products. Work in environments with varying temperatures including ovens, proofers, refrigerators, and freezers. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift. Why Join Chaumont?
