Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented baker to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both traditional and modern baking techniques and be capable of producing a wide range of high-quality baked goods. The Experienced Baker will be responsible for following recipes, maintaining consistency and quality, managing daily production, and ensuring all bakery items meet our standards for freshness and presentation. 1. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. 2. 3 years experience in a baking and pastry environment. 3. Must hold and maintain a current Food Safety Certificate. 4. Good time management skills. 5. Great creativity and organizational skills.JOB FUNCTIONS
1. The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures. 2. The ability to produce all products using basic and traditional mixing methods. 3. The ability to work closely with standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality standards and consistency of product. 4. Decorate all product following pre-established guidelines. 5. Manage and prioritize the daily production, always ensuring the highest quality. 6. Must communicate effectively with the fellow team members on all matters relating to the product, guest needs and feedback. 7. Responsible to work with the Pastry Chef in the creative development of pastry and bakery items for the display case. 8. Assist in managing inventory of all bakery food products. 9. Must hold and maintain a current Food Safety Certificate. 10. Inspect and ensure that all kitchen equipment is in top working order. 11. Must always be aware of all perishable food items in storage and ensure that proper rotation and usage of items. 12. Position:
- Standing/walking
- Lift heavy mixing bowls and bins of product.
- Push/pull carts over rough conditions.
- Forward bend, squatting, kneeling, half-kneeling and forward reach to get to low racks and cabinets
Forces:
bags of flour and sugar: 50 lbs. 20qt mixer filled: 40 lbs.other carts:
300 lbs. (15 lbs. push/pull force required)Repetitions:
- Lining shells with dough
- Rolling balls of dough
- Peeling and dicing of produce
- Spreading and creaming of cakes
- Bending, squatting, reaching into cabinets: frequently
Environment:
Warm and cold environments Wet and slippery Floors Temperatures as low as 28 degree during winter months.Sensory:
