The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, ensuring that our bakery section runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing customers with high-quality baked goods while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations about various baked goods. Maintain the bakery display by restocking items, ensuring freshness, and arranging products attractively. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including processing payments and issuing receipts. Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our customers. Prepare baked goods as needed, including measuring ingredients and following recipes. Keep the bakery area clean and organized by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during busy periods. Manage time effectively to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards. Experience Previous customer facing experience is required Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment is preferred Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience with food preparation techniques is a plus, as well as any background in restaurant settings or bussing duties. Requirements Clerk must have a food handlers certificate or food managers license. Bakery will share how to obtain certificate or license. Must be eligible to work in the US.
