Required Years of Experience 0-1 years Job Details Our Bar Prep team is responsible for supporting daily bar operations through proactive preparation, organization, and restocking. This role is designed to maximize bartender productivity, reduce overtime and premium labor, and ensure service readiness across all meal periods. The position flexes based on volume and budget conditions, allowing the operation to remain agile while maintaining quality and consistency. Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned's Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location. The Property… Ned's Club Washington DC is a members' club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President's Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder's Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. Reporting into the Bar management team, you will: Prepare fresh juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and batched cocktails per approved recipes and pars
Cut, store, label, and rotate fruit and garnishes following food safety standards
Prepare ice, glassware, and service tools for all scheduled shifts
Support pre-shift and next-day readiness to reduce service-hour prep burden
Maintain organized bar storage, coolers, and dry goods areas
Restock beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic items according to par levels
Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing bar deliveries
Flag low inventory or quality issues to Bar Leadership proactively
Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, coolers, and storage spaces
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Break down and reset prep areas at end of shift
Support periodic deep cleaning projects as scheduled
Assist bartenders during peak service as needed (glassware runs, ice, restock)
Support special events, activations, and seasonal programming
Execute tasks efficiently to support labor targets and service flow What you can bring to the role: You'll have great all-round drinks knowledge, and ideally experience with cocktails and wines
Come with a desire to learn and progress your beverage knowledge and skills as we will have regular spirits, wine, beer and service trainings as part of our monthly learning calendar
Prior bar, kitchen prep, or F&B support experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow standardized recipes and prep guides
Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
Able to work AM and PM shifts to include weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift, pull and push up to 35 lbs What The Ned can give you: Salary of $24.00/hour (this is a non tipped position)
