Role Description We are looking for a talented and passionate part-time production baker who loves to bake with purpose and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. Being a baker at Dog Tag is an empowering experience — an opportunity to grow in your career. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in from-scratch baking, as well as some savory experience. Baker Responsibilities & Duties Keep pars/inventory up to date with product they are responsible for. Measure ingredients and prepare batters and doughs. Help with the preparation of catering and event menus. Operate machinery, which includes a sheeter for our logo cookies. Bake cookies and macaroons in large quantities. Follow directions and recipes correctly. Ensure all product is kept to Dog Tag Bakery standards, checking for consistent appearance and quality. Maintain a positive, respectful, and clean work environment. Abide by all Health and Safety standards. Highly responsible, punctual, and reliable. Have access to reliable transportation. Take initiative and work well both independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail. Work well under pressure. Quickly recognize and resolve problems. Must be able to multitask effectively. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work Hours, Compensation & Benefits Part-time work schedule of 20 to 30 hours per week. Open availability for shifts - dependent on orders.
Starting wage:
$18 per hour plus tips. Employee Assistance Program. Free shift drinks and food discounts. Opportunities for training and career growth. Education and Experience 1+ years of industry baking experience or culinary school equivalent required. Experience with from-scratch baking preferred.
