Reporting Relationship Executive Chef/Sous Chef /
F&B Manager FLSA Status Non-Exempt Position Summary:
The Store Room Clerk keeps a daily inventory of all food and beverage items, maintains a standard par level at all times and fulfills and maintains a productive, efficient function in the Food and Beverage Department.
Core Responsibilities:
Storeroom clerk works closely with the Executive Chef/ Sous Chef/ F&B Manager and will be responsible for unpacking goods, recording incoming goods ad conducting weekly and monthly stock inventories. Manage the delivery receipts/invoices of all products, materials and supplies and return them to the Chef and F&B manager. Communicate to the Chef/Sous Chef and F&B manager regarding any discrepancies in the delivery. Stock all items properly in the food and beverage store room. Use the FIFO method. Check carefully daily requisitions and restock food and beverage outlets in a timely manner. Communicate with the beach bar bartender throughout the day if they need to restock supplies. Place the bottle sticker on each bottle after opening the new liquor case. Track backorder beverage items and replenish them upon receipt. Ensure smooth storeroom operations and keep all stock rooms organized and neat and locked securely at all times. The beverage storeroom must be mopped weekly. Clean and rinse the food carts after restocking. Clean the loading area first thing in the morning and maintain throughout the day. Deliver received items to the executive office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions Use arithmetic to accurately calculate costs and prices and track expenses Spell accurately Ability to memorize food recipes and food preparation instructions Quickly and safely unload and arrange merchandise Regular attendance according to established guidelines Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time. Bend, stoop, squat and stretch Exert physical effort in lifting, pushing and transporting up to forty (40) pounds Work takes place in an environment that can be hot, cold, and/or humid Repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability This job description is not an exhaustive list of all job functions that are required of an employee in this position.
