Baker / Decorator / Clerk ($18/hr+)

Overview We are a dedicated gluten-free, vegan and allergy friendly bakery/cafe seeking a passionate and skilled Baker, Decorator & Clerk to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation. scratch baking and decorating, with the ability to create a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and cakes. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality in every product made. Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all products. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, utilizing specific techniques and tools. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and handling standards. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist in ordering as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other baking tools. Help customers during peak hours on the weekends Qualifications Proven experience as a Baker & Decorator in a restaurant, bakery or professional kitchen with from scratch recipes. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking methods. Familiarity with pastry making, cake decorating, and various cooking styles. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong attention to detail with a passion for culinary arts. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Knowledge of food handling regulations is preferred.
