This position is responsible for producing New York-style bagels, maintaining quality standards, managing production schedules, and ensuring a clean and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is an early riser who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for delivering an exceptional product every day. Key Responsibilities Lead daily bagel production from mixing and proofing through, baking, and finishing. Ensure consistent quality, appearance, texture, and flavor of all bagels and baked products. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet daily demand. Train, coach, and supervise. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies. Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department standards. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of bakery equipment. Minimize waste and maximize production efficiency. Assist in developing new bagel flavors and seasonal offerings. Work closely with management to support overall store operations. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of baking experience preferred. Previous bagel production experience strongly preferred. Leadership or supervisory experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food production environment. Strong understanding of dough mixing, fermentation, proofing, and baking techniques. Ability to work independently and make production decisions. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Ability to work overnight, early morning, weekends, and holidays as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with bagel production. Knowledge of bakery inventory management and ordering. Experience training and developing team members. ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work in a hot bakery environment.
