  • Part-time Job Overview Sourdough Delights is seeking a dependable and passionate Assistant Baker to help produce high-quality artisan sourdough breads, pastries, and baked goods for farmers markets and customer orders.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn artisan baking techniques. Responsibilities Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts with precision and creativity. Decorate cakes and pastries using professional cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications. Support food production by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling products efficiently. Handle food packaging with care, ensuring products are presented attractively and securely for delivery or display. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to strict food safety protocols. Assist with general food handling duties, including slicing, portioning, and plating dishes for service. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with special orders or catering requests. Requirements Previous baking, kitchen, or food service experience preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and time management skills Reliable transportation Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed Positive attitude and willingness to learn Schedule Part-time Hours vary based on production schedule and market events Early morning and weekend availability required Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunities for growth within the company
