We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and creating delicious treats. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction. If you have a background in pastry, kitchen operations, and a love for culinary arts, we would love to hear from you.Duties:
- Prepare an assortment of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, bread, and pastries following both traditional and innovative recipes.
- Innovate and develop new pastry creations to diversify our offerings and captivate customer interest.
- Decorate baked goods using various techniques to enhance their visual appeal.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients like flour and sugar, and place orders as needed while staying within budget constraints.
- Inspect the quality of ingredients and the condition of baking equipment to maintain high standards.
- Provide guidance and support to pastry assistants and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Identify staffing requirements, participate in recruitment efforts, and contribute to training initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized baking station while strictly adhering to food safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker or similar role in the food industry.
- Proficiency in pastry techniques, cake decorating, and culinary arts.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with kitchen tools including knives and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality standards.
- Experience in catering or packaging baked goods is a plus.
