This includes overseeing production needs while leading in preparation of batters and frostings, baking, frosting cupcakes, checking custom orders, keeping dessert cases full, helping customers, and making sure the bakery stays clean, stocked, and organized. This energetic leadership position offers the opportunity to inspire and coordinate a small and capable team. Duties Communicate with respect to management and team members Keep a team focused, calm, and productive Pay attention to details Work quickly and efficiently Think quickly to resolve a problem Keep the bakery clean and organized Follow recipes, instructions, checklists, procedures, and bakery standards Bake, frost, package, organize, restock, clean, make boxes, and help customers Keeps the good of the team and the guest experience in mind Can handle busy moments without losing professionalism Takes initiative and does not wait to be asked to stay busy Perform basic math for recipe adjustments, inventory counts, and quality control checks Oversee inventory management, including ingredient storage, stock rotation, and equipment maintenance Overseeing custom orders and helping make sure they are completed correctly, neatly, and on time Making sure all orders for the day are reviewed, prepared, and ready for pickup as scheduled Handling basic customer concerns by gathering accurate information and communicating with management for follow-up Monitoring product levels, pars, ingredients, packaging, and supplies Helping with inventory counts, product rotation, labeling, dating, and proper food storage Making sure opening, midday, and closing checklists are completed accurately Watching the daily workflow and helping the team stay organized, productive, and on task Train team members on food safety practices, mechanical equipment use, and food processing techniques if needed. Monitor adherence to sanitation procedures, ensuring compliance with all health regulations and food industry standardsThe right person should be dependable, coachable, organized, punctual, and professional Must be willing to obtain or have a current Certified Food Protection Manager certification/CFPM, such as ServSafe Manager Be comfortable working in a face paced small bakery environment. Proven experience in baking and a commercial production bakery environment.
