Hours:

• Full-Time / Part-Time
• Shifts are 7AM
• 3PM•days are negotiable, Fridays & Saturdays are required.
• Decorators sometimes stay past 3PM, depending on orders for the week.

Position Background:

A cake decorator at Palermo Bakery is responsible for creating custom cakes by cutting cake sponge, filling cakes, and decorating with buttercream/whipped cream/fondant/etc. Custom decorators need to be able to create 3D figures with fondant and other edible materials. Custom decorators may also be decorating sugar cookies, cake pops, cupcakes, and other custom creations for our retail store. We are looking for someone with high energy who enjoys working with a fun, engaged, and diverse team of members. Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment. Essential Job Functions:

• Cut cake sponges and prep cakes to be filled.
• Filling cakes.
• Frosting cakes.
• Adding final decorations.
• Decorating sugar cookies.
• Decorating cake pops.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Following food safety protocol as outline by

by rotating stock, properly sanitizing, etc.
