Full-Time (40 Hours) Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM About Us Bae's Baekery is a beloved Louisville bakery specializing in custom cakes, wedding cakes, pastries, and desserts. We are seeking a talented Cake Decorator to join our growing team as we expand into our new Highlands location. This position is ideal for an intermediate-level decorator who has professional decorating experience and is looking to further develop their skills while supporting the cake decorating side of Bae's Baekery. Position Overview As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for decorating cakes for our retail case, cake-by-the-slice program, predesigned cake collection, and custom cake orders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, creative, and passionate about producing high-quality work that consistently reflects our brand standards. Responsibilities Fill, stack, crumb coat, and ice cakes Decorate walk-in retail cakes for daily sales Produce cake-by-the-slice cakes according to production schedules Decorate predesigned cakes and specialty menu items Execute buttercream piping, borders, florals, and decorative finishes Maintain consistency with Bae's Baekery design standards Assist with custom cake production as skill level permits Follow production schedules and meet daily deadlines Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Communicate effectively with management regarding production and inventory needs and timelines Assist with wedding cake production and assembly as experience allows Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of professional cake decorating experience preferred Experience working in a bakery, cake shop, grocery bakery, or similar environment Strong buttercream decorating skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Reliable transportation and excellent attendance Positive attitude and willingness to learn What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, coachable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing beautiful work. Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience and skill level, ranging from $20-$24 per hour.
