Dulceology Bakery is seeking passionate, energetic and experienced Bakery Assistant to join our team under the direction of Lead Baker and Pastry Chef. Responsibilities include preparing pre-orders, preparing donut dough, cookie dough, rolling out cookies and baking pastries according to morning production schedule and orders. Candidates must be self-starters, have a strong work ethic, initiative, ability to work standing for long periods and a commitment to detail and quality. Responsibilities:

Measure, mix, and scale ingredients, shape dough, and assist with decorating or icing finished items. Monitor baking times and temperatures, and ensure products look appetizing and meet the bakery's standards. Efficiently wrap, box, and label baked goods, keeping retail displays and catering orders fully stocked. Keep production areas and coolers organized with date and name labels and using FIFO procedures. Wash dishes, sanitize kitchen surfaces, and adhere strictly to food safety and allergen-handling guidelines. Organize storage areas, monitor ingredient stockpiles, and notify management of low supplies or equipment malfunctions. Assist with production making sure we meet established pars. Communicate effectively with coworkers, managers and baking team on new upcoming orders, customer issues and other bakery related information. Answering bakery phone for customers with questions or placing orders over the phone. Properly opening or closing the storefront and performing opening/closing tasks including but not limited to: taking trash out, sweeping, mopping and washing remaining dishes and tabletops. Maintaining your work area clean and organized.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

Positive, friendly and team player attitude is a must! Knowledge of baking and ingredients. Great attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Prior experience in a bakery establishment is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part as a team. Capable of working in a fast paced production and service environment. •Ability to work weekends and early mornings.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent 1 year of experience in Customer Service related field preferred Food Safety certification is a plus but not required •Pay is dependent on education, experience and qualifications.
