This role is ideal for someone who has strong decorating skills, can work independently, and is comfortable handling custom cake orders in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have at least five years of professional cake decorating experience in a fast-paced cake shop or bakery setting . This position is strictly for cakes, so we are looking for someone with strong hands-on cake decorating experience, including custom designs, standard cake builds, writing on cakes, borders, flowers, themed cakes, and display cakes. Management experience is not required, but it is a plus. Candidates with experience managing cake orders, inventory, production flow, or training other decorators are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants should be prepared to show examples of their previous cake work during the interview and should also be ready to be hands-on during the interview to demonstrate decorating ability.

Responsibilities include:

Decorating cakes according to company standards and customer requests Creating a variety of cake designs, including custom and standard designs Receiving and processing online, phone, and in-person cake orders Managing cake and icing inventory Preparing icing, stocking supplies, and maintaining the cake decorating station Following sanitation and food safety procedures Stacking, boxing, and properly storing decorated cakes Maintaining product displays according to quality and merchandising standards Communicating professionally with guests, team members, and leadership Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient cake production area The schedule is flexible and does not necessarily have to fall during normal store hours, but reliability and consistency are important.
