Full Job Description Pay Range:

Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Baker / Cook to join our team! This position is responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and desserts, while also supporting full-scope, hands-on production cooking within the Community Culinary Services Department. This role plays a key part in maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times. This position includes working every other weekend and supporting the line as needed. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Baker /
Cook:
Prepare and present a variety of baked goods and desserts in accordance with menu standards Ensure all pastry items meet quality, appearance, and portion standards Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within the kitchen and baking areas Follow recipes and dietary guidelines to ensure compliance with nutritional and regulatory requirements Monitor inventory and assist with ordering or stocking baking supplies as needed Support line cooking operations during peak times or as needed Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency in both pastry and hot line production Assist with serving of meals and ware washing as necessary Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service such as quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance; and make adjustments as needed Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, creating a positive dining experience Support a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive top-line revenue and occupancy Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: High school diploma Culinary or baking/pastry training preferred Minimum of one year of baking, pastry, or cooking experience (restaurant, senior living, or equivalent) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Flexibility to support both pastry and line cooking operations At Rose Senior Living, we understand that our employees work best when they are healthy, happy, and excited about the here and now, as well as the future.
