Primary duties include following recipes to mix and prepare different types of bread, cake and a wide range of pastries, like cookies, cakes and pies. Other duties include, and are not limited to dishwashing as needed, routine cleanup, and potentially waiting on customers, taking phone orders, and refilling supplies as needed. Baker responsibilities also include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing doughs, preparing fillings and glazing pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have previous work experience as a Baker. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis. Looking for the following qualifications, skills and/or experience: Must be over 18 years of age and able to work in the US. Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, commercial grade food processors, convection ovens and hand tools. Ability to accurately read, understand and follow basic recipes, even without extreme detailed description of process steps. Understanding of and ability to comply with all food safety practices Excellent time-management skills Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude Experience with cake decoration techniques is a plus Flexibility to work some early morning shifts. Hours of availability can be between 5 am - 8 pm for the right candidate. No Sundays or Holidays. Occasional Saturday, parties, and Garner Night Market work.
