Our bakeshop is all about our craft, respect, compassion, and building a supportive community. We're excited to welcome a team player who wants to grow with us as our bakeshop expands. We are looking for an experienced and talented pastry baker who has a minimum one year of hands-on experience in crafting pastries, lamination and other dessert items including cakes. Weekend and Holidays availability is a must. Required experiences include but are not limited, to the following: Must have 1+ years of professional experience in baking pastries and other desserts (cookies and brownies etc) Lamination experience is a must Cake decoration experience is a plus Strong commitment to quality, creativity, and consistency Ability to work early hours Pastry school graduate is a plus Responsibilities include but are not limited, to the following: Prepare and bake a variety of viennoiserie and pastries, other dessert items such as cookies, brownies, cakes etc. Multitasking while mixing and preparing batters and dough Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and organized in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain inventory of ingredients and baking supplies and place orders as needed. Support other team members as needed. Required Skills include but are not limited, to the following: Proven experience as a Pastry Baker or in a similar role in a commercial kitchen environment. Understanding of baking techniques and recipes and how baking ingredients interact and explore creative uses for them. Understand how fillings are made and used Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high quality Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work:
early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Punctuality is a must. Cake decoration skill is preferredPay:
