Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their bakery selections, offering product recommendations and upselling where appropriate Prepare and package baked goods with precision, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area by bussing tables, cleaning displays, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed Restock bakery shelves with fresh products, monitor inventory levels, and assist in food handling procedures Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering samples, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Experience Previous experience in food preparation or a retail environment such as grocery stores or quick service restaurants is preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and sales techniques including upselling are highly valued Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or café setting will help you excel in this dynamic role Basic math skills for cashiering and retail math are required to ensure accurate transactions Prior experience in cashiering or serving customers in the food industry will support your success as a Bakery Clerk Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering quality baked goods and exceptional customer service!
