Job Summary Lead Baker:

Perform a variety of baking duties - scale, mix, and preparation of doughs (rolls, doughnuts, and sweet dough products), muffins, cookies, pies, cakes, biscuits, and other french pastries. Responsibilities Oversee production of goods and staff. Ensure high quality of product and efficient use of staff time. Scale, mix, and prepare cinnamon buns, rolls, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, biscuits, and other French pastries, according to established recipes. Scale and mix icings and frostings, according to established recipes. Knowledge and understanding of working a 16 pan revolving oven. Review production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake. Cut and weigh dough into uniform portions with knife or divider, mold dough into loaves or other shapes. Shape dough for cookies, pies, and fancy pastries either by hand or by using dough rollers and cookie cutters. Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment. Attend to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies; detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food Complete production sheets and other records as required. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements At least 3 years baking experience is preferred. Physical Effort Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects, but up to 50 pounds, and standing and/or walking for entire shift. Enjoy Full-Time employment but work Seasonally (we really strive to have recurring staff and have had great success)! Open long weekends in spring. Open full time mid-May through the mid-September.
