Full-Time or Part-Time Position Overview Farinolio/Ingranum is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Baker to support daily production in our premium Italian artisan bakery. This role is ideal for someone who values craftsmanship, quality ingredients, and authentic Italian baking traditions. The Assistant Baker will work closely with the baking and production team to help prepare laminated pastries, breads, focaccia, schiacciata, desserts, and specialty products, including vegan and gluten-free offerings. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced artisan production environment. Responsibilities commonly include dough preparation, baking support, quality control, sanitation, inventory support, and maintaining consistency across production. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparation and production of artisan baked goods including: Cornetti and laminated pastries Schiacciata Toscana Focaccia and breads Italian desserts and seasonal specialties Vegan and gluten-free products Scale, mix, portion, shape, and prepare doughs following standardized recipes and production procedures Assist with baking, proofing, finishing, and packaging products Maintain consistency in product appearance, texture, and quality Support ingredient preparation and daily mise en place Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery equipment, workstations, storage areas, and production spaces Follow food safety, allergen, and hygiene standards at all times Assist with inventory organization, ingredient stocking, and notifying management of shortages Support receiving and organizing deliveries Work collaboratively with the production and retail teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders Help maintain an organized, efficient, and positive kitchen environment Assist with special production projects, catering, and seasonal product launches as needed Qualifications Previous bakery, pastry, kitchen, or food production experience preferred Passion for artisan baking and hospitality Interest in Italian baking traditions and premium ingredients Ability to follow recipes and production procedures accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Culinary or baking school training is a plus but not required Italian language skills are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to work in a warm production environment Ability to perform repetitive kitchen and bakery tasks What We Offer Opportunity to work with authentic Italian artisan products Hands-on learning and professional growth Collaborative and passionate team environment Employee discounts on products Opportunity to contribute to a growing premium bakery brand focused on craftsmanship, quality, and innovation About Farinolio/ Ingranum Ingranum is a premium Italian artisan bakery specializing in authentic baked products inspired by Italian tradition and elevated through modern craftsmanship.
