Overview Join our mom and pop shop in an established cafe! In this role, you'll be at the heart of the food production process, crafting high-quality bread that delight customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, food industry environment while contributing to a beloved local café. Duties Prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, and bagels following established recipes and quality standards Mix doughs, knead, proof, and bake products ensuring consistency in texture and flavor Package baked goods efficiently for display or customer purchase, maintaining freshness and hygiene standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various baked items Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of ingredients Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all baked goods meet health regulations and quality expectations Skills Proven experience in baking or culinary environments with a focus on bread making Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Ability to operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens and proofers Excellent customer service skills to engage with customers when needed and handle special requests Embark on a rewarding culinary journey by applying your baking talents in a lively environment where quality matters.
