SENIOR CAKE DECORATOR/ MANAGER

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cake Decorator / Manager to lead our custom cake team. This dynamic role combines creative cake decorating with managerial responsibilities, ensuring each masterpiece meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. As a key member of our bakery, you will craft stunning, personalized cakes while overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your culinary expertise and leadership will inspire both your team and delighted customers alike. Responsibilities Design and decorate custom cakes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail Lead the design team in cake decor and presentation to ensure top-tier quality Manage daily cake boutique operations in the front of the house Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health regulations during food handling and production Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with design ideas, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction Train and mentor junior staff in cake decorating techniques, food production processes, and kitchen safety practices Requirements Min 3 years of proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or culinary arts within a bakery or food production environment Strong skills in cake decorating techniques such as piping, fondant work, airbrushing, and preferably cake and fondant/ gumpaste/ modeling chocolate sculpting Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods to ensure freshness during delivery or pickup Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable Passion for baking, culinary innovation, and creating visually stunning edible art
