Duties Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes, following established recipes and food safety standards Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to delight customers Package baked items efficiently while maintaining presentation quality and freshness Assist in food production tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling products for sale or catering orders Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment sanitation and stock rotation Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Support food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations to ensure safety for both staff and customers Experience Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or food preparation is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued Familiarity with cake decorating techniques and kitchen tools such as knives is advantageous Experience in food industry roles such as catering or restaurant work will be beneficial Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is important Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment Basic culinary experience including cooking or food production helps ensure success in this role Join us as a Bakery Associate to bring joy through delicious baked goods while honing your culinary talents!
