As the Head baker, you will drive excellence in food preparation, cake decorating, packaging, and customer service while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Duties Lead the daily operations of the baking department, ensuring efficient food production and high standards of quality. Oversee cake decorating, baking, and pastry preparation to create visually appealing and delicious products. Manage food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices. Supervise food packaging processes to maintain product integrity during distribution. Coordinate with culinary teams to develop new recipes and improve existing menu items or product lines. Train staff in culinary techniques, knife skills, cooking methods, and customer service excellence. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages. Ensure all kitchen activities comply with health regulations and safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in food industry roles such as pastry chef, cook, or kitchen supervisor with a focus on baking or cake decorating. Strong culinary background with expertise in food preparation, baking, and pastry arts. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and handling procedures. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen staff or culinary teams. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Experience with catering or restaurant operations is highly desirable. Ability to oversee packaging processes effectively while maintaining product quality.
