Job Description

Job Details Wanted:
passionate bread baker with a positive, team-oriented attitude for high-volume production.
Role:
Shaping and baking and a variety of breads, primarily made from freshly-milled whole grain flour.
Schedule:
11AM-7PM, 5 days a week. Friday and Saturday shifts are required every week.
Pay:
After initial training period, $20-25/hour, depending on experience.
Benefits:
We offer health insurance plans and cover 50% of the cost. Paid time off is accrued hourly, starting at one week per year, and increases to two weeks per year over the next two years. — After an initial training period and assessment of skills, bakers are offered the opportunity to work 4x10 hour shifts per week instead of 5x8 hours. Our breads are processed at ambient temperatures, meaning they go from mixing to baking in the same day without an overnight rest in a cooler. Our bench is fast-paced and efficient. Bread production starts at 6AM Monday-Saturday, and usually ends between 6PM and 8PM.
Candidates must be:
Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays - Friday and Saturdays required Able to lift 50+ lbs. frequently over the course of a shift, and 100+ lbs. occasionally Capable of working on your feet for 8-12 hours Legal to work in the United states Good people About the bakery: Our goal is to make delicious/nutritious breads and treats widely accessible, working with local food systems. We mill nearly all of our own flour from high-quality, regionally grown grain. Since 2017, we have purchased and milled over 600,000 pounds of local grain. We have been named one of the best bakeries in the country by Food & Wine Magazine and The Food Network, amongst other accolades.
