Job Description
As a member of the Northeast Grainshed Alliance, Belmont Market's made from scratch bread program focuses on using regional grains to develop flavorful and nutritious bread for the local community. We are looking for dedicated team members who are not afraid of commitment; are enthusiastic about local food; would like to contribute to something larger than themselves; enjoy a challenge; don't mind the smell of freshly baked bread! Belmont Marketplace Inc. is currently looking for a Bread Dept. Clerk/Baker. This is an entry level position. Responsibilities will include Measuring ingredients Mixing doughs Shaping breads Baking Maintaining clean, sanitary, safe, and organized bakery Slicing, packaging, and labeling products Unloading deliveries The ideal candidate will posses the following: Some experience in the retail industry preferred Clean and organized work habits Dependable work ethic Attention to detail Strong communication skills Effective time management Reliability and punctuality Accountability Desire to learn about bread baking processes Love of fresh baked bread! Must be 18+ years of age Weekend and holiday availability
