Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate person skilled in baking and pastry to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry, fast paced kitchens, and fine dining. This role involves following standardized recipes, baking/ decorating cakes, and plating events/parties while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through culinary skill and strong attention to detail. Duties Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and baked goods according to recipes and specifications. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, including cake decorating techniques Plating for parties, events & ensuring presentation guidelines are adhered to. Assist with food production tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling desserts. Some salad dressing production may be required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care to ensure product quality Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and customer expectations. Requirements Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or culinary roles within the food industry Strong cake decorating skills and proficiency in food presentation techniques Knowledge of food handling, safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices Experience with food preparation and food production processes Familiarity with baking equipment, technique and kitchen tools Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous restaurant experience. $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
