Responsibilities Decorate cakes and baked goods with precision, creativity, and attention to detail, ensuring each product meets high-quality standards. Prepare and package baked items efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and food safety protocols. Assist customers with selecting products, answering questions about ingredients, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience. Handle food production tasks such as mixing, baking, and finishing pastries or other baked goods to ensure freshness and quality. Maintain organized displays of baked goods and ensure the bakery area is clean, sanitized, and well-stocked throughout the shift. Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards in accordance with health regulations. Support catering orders or special event preparations as needed, demonstrating versatility in culinary tasks. Experience Previous experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is highly preferred, showcasing your skill with icing techniques, fondant work, and decorative piping. Strong background in food preparation, baking, or kitchen experience within the food industry or restaurant settings. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling of bakery ingredients. Customer service experience that demonstrates your ability to engage positively with clients and team members. Practical knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques related to baking and food presentation are advantageous. Knowledge of food production processes including packaging, catering support, and general kitchen operations will set you apart.
