In this role, you will play a key part in creating visually stunning and delicious baked goods, desserts, and confections that delight our customers. Your expertise in cake decorating, food preparation, and food handling will contribute to elevating our bakery offerings. Responsibilities Assist in decorating cakes, pastries, and desserts with precision and creativity, ensuring each piece meets high aesthetic standards. Prepare ingredients and assemble baked goods according to established recipes and presentation guidelines. Support food production processes by packaging finished products efficiently while maintaining quality and freshness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety for all customers. Collaborate with the culinary team during catering events or special orders to deliver exceptional presentation and taste. Support the team in basic cooking tasks, including pastry preparation, knife skills, and baking techniques to enhance product quality. Experience Previous experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is highly desirable. Familiarity with food preparation, baking, and food industry standards is essential. Experience working in a kitchen environment, such as a bakery or restaurant, is preferred. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices is required. Strong customer service skills are a plus for engaging with clients during special orders or events. Demonstrated proficiency in culinary techniques including knife skills, baking, and food presentation. Prior experience supporting catering or restaurant operations will be considered an asset.
