Chef, Kitchen Manager Position Summary:
Mid-shift baker is in charge of making and executing bread service for the Bar W steakhouse. Items including soft rolls, cornbread, biscuits, buttercake, and rotating bread items. Mid-shift baker is responsible for assisting the Garde Manger station of the steakhouse, you will have your baker duties but also be helping out on savory side of things when needed. Morning baker is responsible for baking off all breakfast items every morning and stocking the pastry cases for the day. Morning baker is responsible for assisting and executing all prepped items. These items include cookies, bars, trifle cups, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and more specifications.Shift Availability:
Morning Shift:
6:00 or 7:00 AM•3:00PM Mid-Day Shift:
11:00 AM•7:00 PM Must be willing to workSaturdays and Mondays Compensation:
Pay Range:
$16.00•$19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill level.Part-time Desired Qualifications:
1 year professional baking experience (preferred but not required) Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation principles. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A strong passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift min 50 lbsKey Responsibilities and Duties:
Culinary Execution & Quality Control:
o Serve as the primary executor bread service for the Steakhouse o Follow all recipes exactly as they are stated o Know how to use kitchen equipment such as a scale, mixer, and commercial ovens. o Continuously monitor and manage food quality throughout the shift, addressing any discrepancies immediately.Operational Efficiency & Organization:
o Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. o Maintain a highly organized and clean workstation at all times, facilitating smooth and efficient workflows. o Collaborate seamlessly with other kitchen team members, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment. o Address and rectify any mistakes quickly and efficiently, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.Food Safety & Sanitation:
o Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and safe food handling practices to prevent foodborne illnesses. o Ensure proper cooling and reheating temperatures for all food products, adhering to established food safety guidelines. o Participate actively in the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and line operations, following checklists provided by the Chef and Managers. o Execute thorough closing and sanitization procedures for the entire line area at the end of each shift, ensuring a pristine environment for the next day.Inventory & Preparation:
o Maintain accurate par levels of all food ingredients, communicating any shortages or discrepancies to management. o Execute all assigned prep tasks efficiently and according to recipes, ensuring the line is consistently stocked for service. o Practice proper food rotation techniques to minimize waste and ensure freshness.Pay:
