Job Description

Pastry Chef - Ceremony Ceremony is seeking a skilled, detail-driven Pastry Chef to lead and shape our pastry and dessert program. This role combines display-case pastries with a seasonal plated dessert menu in a small, highly intentional kitchen. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef and Proprietor to create desserts that are modern, fruit-forward, and globally inspired—distinct from traditional French pastry. What You'll Do Develop and execute a rotating menu of pastries and plated desserts Create component-based desserts designed for efficiency and consistency Manage pastry prep, organization, and service execution Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow proper food safety standards Collaborate on seasonal menu changes Program Overview Display Pastries (All Day): Refined, ready-to-serve items with strong visual appeal Plated Desserts (Dinner Service): Light, balanced, and thoughtfully composed

Ingredient-driven, with frequent menu updates
Small Kitchen:
Designed for precision and efficiency, not volume What We're Looking For Strong pastry fundamentals and flavor balance Experience with custards, creams, cakes, and plated desserts Organized, self-directed, and calm under pressure Collaborative mindset and attention to detail Schedule Dinner service: Thursday-Saturday Prep shifts scheduled as needed Compensation Competitive and based on experience Opportunity for growth as the program evolves
