Full Job Description Overview:

We are an extremely busy cake shop seeking skilled Cake Decorators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience torting, filling, and frosting cakes. Must have strong attention to detail and be confident in your cake decorating skills. We are very busy and love to have fun, however we do take our work seriously. We are looking for team members that are able to fill and/or frost 20-30 cakes per shift. Must be flexible, efficient, able to roll with the punches, and a desire to always be better at your craft. Pay is hourly with tip pool based on hours.

Decorator:

Taking pride in creating specialty cakes, bar cakes, custom orders, and cupcakes tailored to the standards of Cake and Rabbitt Cake Shop. Making sure they are completed by correct times and dates. Accurately torte cake layers, make buttercream and fillings. Artistic, detail oriented and creative. Consult with customers to discuss desired cake designs and suggest ideas. Experience with professional kitchen equipment is a must. Have an interest in staying up to date with all the current styles, techniques and trends in cake decorating. Experience as a decorator, pastry chef or similar role. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day. Must be able to fill 5 cakes per hour. Must be able to decorate 6 slice bar cakes per hour.

Position Requirements:

Valid food handler card. Clean and tidy appearance. Understanding of food safety practices. Excellent time management skills. Maintain a clean and safe work station, sanitizing bucket and hot well. Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exert or lift up to 50lbs. Quality check all product, FIFO, label and properly store all products. Positive attitude. Reliable transportation. Weekend availability.
