Job DescriptionBakers at Balloon Roof are responsible for mixing, shaping, baking, and preparation of bread, bagels, focaccia, pastries, ready to eat items and prep - ensuring the timely production of all items sold. As part of a collaborative team- there is shared responsibility to clean, wash dishes, and help each other in the completion of bakery tasks. We have available positions in our pastry, baking, and bread production departments. All team members utilize fundamental kitchen skills e.g. basic knife work, food preparation techniques, task management and station organization.

This position requires maintaining Balloon Roof's product quality standards within a fast paced environment, working as a member of a team in line with Balloon Roof's values, and also supporting front of house/serving customers as needed. Those who are dynamic, flexible and motivated will thrive.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork as a member of a team to ensure the completion of daily work and bakery cleanliness.

Ensure that bakery items are baked, handled and stored in a manner consistent with Balloon Roof's standards.

Maintain an organized, respectful, efficient and clean environment.

Maintain safe kitchen practices with professional equipmentJob RequirementsProfessional baking experience in a fast paced/ high volume settingMust have a current Washington State Food Workers Card.

Must be able to lift 50 poundsRequires weekend availability, starting time as early as 4amStarting wages at $25/hr (DOE), with reassessment after 90 days.
