Barista Cashier

Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using our Square POS system. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and food safety standards. Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions with precision, and provide correct change using retail math skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas, adhering to food handling and safety protocols. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, maintaining necessary inventory, monitoring product freshness, and recording sales data efficiently. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Support food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quick turnaround times during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly preferred; a passion for coffee is a plus! Must love coffee. Proven cashiering skills with experience using Square POS Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate kindly, clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk between stations, and lift moderate loads when necessary. Familiarity with food industry standards and serving etiquette is advantageous.
