Barista: Morning Opener for a Breakfast Coffee Shop

Hello. Thanks for reading. We are a small, independent coffee shop in Phoenix looking for an experienced morning barista to join our team. This is not a "cute coffee shop" type of job. It is a real opener role: fast, focused, accurate, in a high‑intensity morning service.

You will:

Open the café and have the bar fully set and ready to serve at 6:00 am (espresso dialed, milks stocked, ice, cups, syrups, etc). Maintain drink quality and speed under pressure. Communicate clearly with the team and help keep the station clean and organized during service, not just at the end. Help train and support newer baristas once you're settled in. We're looking for someone who: Has 1-2+ years barista experience. However, we will train from zero for the right person . Genuinely likes opening and early mornings.

Is punctual:

being 10 minutes early is normal, not rare. Enjoys high‑intensity but respectful service environments, where we work hard in a tight 6-noon window and then go home. Wants to be part of a place that's growing and constantly innovating.

Details:

Typical schedule: 5:45 am-1:00 pm (or 2) including weekends . Hourly pay based on experience, plus tips. Free coffee and staff meal during your shift.
