Barista

Caffe Luce is currently seeking teammates to join the Luce crew who are passionate about excellent coffee. Our customers are gracious and we offer a relaxed yet fast-paced environment at all three of our locations. Our customers generally tip us well, which puts our compensation well above minimum. We specifically are seeking to fill barista positions with candidates with open availability on a part time or full time basis. Barista and/or kitchen experience is preferred. Current open positions are from early morning through closing shifts. We are looking for individuals with problem solving skills, strong work ethic, self-motivation, and can work both in a team and independently. Understand how to create a great customer service experience. Passionate about coffee and latte art and willing to learn more. Can keep cool and calm in a fast-paced, energetic work environment. Can maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Basic Qualifications Barista experience:

1 year (Preferred) Food service: 1 year (Preferred) Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights Meet store standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients Can maintain a clean and organized workspace. Have excellent communications skills. Base pay is $13/hr, however daily tips are significant and will generally put the average employee well within the range of $22-28/hr depending on shift, seasonal changes, etc.
