Barista/Cashier

Voted Best Breakfast/Brunch Restaurant in Alameda again for 2024 by the readers of Alameda Magazine, Café Jolie offers a delicious breakfast and lunch menu featuring locally-sourced and organic ingredients. We are looking for an energetic barista for service on weekdays. Candidates should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, working well with all staff, and providing friendly and attentive customer service.

Schedule:

Candidate must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8:30am -2pm. Employee meal provided after probationary period after 30 day probation period.

Responsibilities:

Welcoming customers, accepting orders and payments Preparing hot and cold drinks in accordance to our menu and customer needs, which includes grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, preparing drinks, and serving items to customers When needed, packaging food and beverages for to-go or catering orders Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, sanitizing equipment and utensils Having a willingness to learn about our full beverage and food menu Taking inventory and replenishing items Working as part of a fun, high-energy team Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls Qualifications Experience as a barista is required, training will be provided High integrity with a great attendance record Strong attention to detail Ability to listen and communicate effectively Must have current Food Handler's license. 1 year experience required.
