POSITION
Barista
STARTING ASAP
Shifts 3-4 shifts per week depending on your availability.
DAY TIME ONLY LEORA
is an all-day café hidden in the heart of Beverly Hills. We serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday (8am-4pm), and brunch on Sundays (9am-2pm). LEORA is fast-paced, community-focused, and fueled by a small team that truly cares about what we serve and how we make people feel. This is position is for someone who thrives in a busy, high volume environment and loves making people feel welcome.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare espresso and other beverages to standards for quality and consistency on a La Marzocco, experience with that machine is a huge plus; latte art.
  • Work Cashier
  • Work all FOH stations
  • Maintain knowledge of daily food menu, ingredients, inventory.
  • Greet and connect with every customer and help influence purchasing decisions.
  • Continually grow knowledge of coffee, beverage, food items, and customers.
  • Follow proper service and register/cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Comfort and command of POS system.
  • Maintain workspace and front of house space with appropriate amount of supplies, and cleanliness under County health standards.
  • Maintain active and clear communication with colleagues and managers.
EXPECTATIONS
This role requires flexibility and adaptability at various stations that involve ensuring all front of house operations run smooth. This means you will be on the espresso bar preparing drinks, on register taking orders, prepping batch units of beverages, and other duties as assigned. We expect all FOH staff to maintain professionalism and composure among colleagues and with guests, a positive attitude, and willingness to support others as needed. All staff must have an active (unexpired) California ServSafe Food Handler's certificate. Candidates are friendly, warm, and outgoing comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced café environment are reliable & punctual work well under pressure have a passion towards hospitality and food are willing to learn are fast on their feet are team oriented are hardworking Requirements Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience Ability to work weekends Ability to stand for for long periods of time (6+ hours, excluding break times) Ability to carry up to 25 pounds
