Barista

Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our café team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to engage with customers, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively with your team will contribute to an exceptional café experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and seating spaces. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed. Utilize POS system for order processing and sales tracking. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in all food preparation processes. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or sales is preferred but not required. Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prepare food items safely and effectively while adhering to health regulations. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
