Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems efficiently to process orders accurately and handle cash or card payments with precision. Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and during food handling activities. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and café setup. Support sales goals by upselling menu items and promoting new or featured products to enhance the customer experience. Clean equipment, counters, and preparation areas. Wash utensils and sanitize surfaces. Restock ingredients for the next day. Take out trash and complete closing checklist. Assist with end-of-day inventory checks. Experience Previous barista or drink specialist experience in a café or food service setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization is a plus. Experience using POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods. Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced retail or food industry environment.
