Lead Barista/Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our customers while showcasing your knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the POS system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling standards. Engage with customers to provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and balancing at the end of shifts. Support sales initiatives by promoting special offers and upselling products when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Skills Proficient in basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations. Experience with POS systems is preferred for efficient transaction processing. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage crafting is a plus. Strong food handling skills to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent communication skills to assist customers effectively and provide exceptional service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Retail math skills are beneficial for managing inventory and sales reporting.
