Job Description
Job Summary The Alchemist Cafe is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead daily coffee operations, maintain beverage quality standards, and supervise barista staff. This role is responsible for ensuring excellent coffee execution, customer service, and smooth café workflow in a busy specialty coffee environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise barista team during daily operations Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, brewed coffee, and specialty drinks Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and drink quality Train and mentor new and existing baristas Oversee espresso machine calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness Manage coffee inventory, milk, syrups, and café supplies Ensure fast and efficient service during peak hours Handle customer feedback and ensure guest satisfaction Support scheduling and daily workflow coordination Enforce food safety and sanitation standards Requirements Previous barista and leadership experience required Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, latte art, and brewing methods Excellent communication and team leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment Strong attention to detail and quality control Experience with coffee equipment operation and maintenance preferred Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly pay plus tips Employee discounts on food and beverages Paid training and coffee development opportunities Career growth in specialty coffee leadership roles Supportive and creative work environment Flexible scheduling options About the Company The Alchemist Cafe is a specialty coffee destination known for artisanal beverages, high-quality ingredients, and a modern café experience.
