Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, beverages, and food items efficiently and accurately. Operate POS system Toast to process transactions smoothly while handling cash and card payments with precision. Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices. Manage multiple tasks effectively using strong time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Assist in food preparation and serving, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Support team members with daily operations, including cashiering, restocking supplies, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred.; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS system Toast is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café transactions. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café area, and lift moderate loads when needed.
