Barista

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, providing an exceptional experience to our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, teas, and food items according to recipes and standards. Operate the POS system for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Preform dishwashing and sanitation of kitchenware Skills Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Proficient in using POS systems for order processing. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with the food industry standards related to serving and food handling is advantageous.
