Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair (latte art) Take customer orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems using our Toast POS system Handle cash transactions, process payments efficiently, and manage cash handling responsibilities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Engage with customers warmly, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service to foster loyalty. Closing/Opening Shifts Skills Proven experience as a Coffee Shop Barista / Latte art skills Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage customization. Be able to use/maintain our La Marzocco Strada espresso machine Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing. Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly. Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations accurately. Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
