The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in food and beverage preparation. This role involves crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing an outstanding experience for our customers. Prior experience with POS systems and food safety standards is essential to ensure smooth operations and adherence to industry regulations. We are looking someone who is available on the weekends as well as some of weekdays. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency Operate Square POS for order processing and cash handling Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing registers at shift end Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health standards Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality Support team members in daily operations to promote a positive work environment Skills Proven experience as a Barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of beverage recipes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours seamlessly Basic math skills for sales transactions, retail math, cash handling, and balancing registers Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and food preparation techniques Ability to work in fast-paced environments within the food industry while maintaining attention to detail Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently Join our team as an Experienced Barista if you are passionate about coffee, dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and eager to contribute your expertise in a dynamic café setting.
