Cashier/Barista

Duties Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service throughout their visit, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for all transactions including sales, refunds, and voids Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling with precision, adhering to cash handling procedures and food safety standards Assist customers with product inquiries, recommend items, and promote sales to enhance their experience Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee or other specialty drinks, following food safety and food preparation guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café or retail space, including food preparation areas if applicable Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance Conduct basic math calculations for cash register operations, sales totals, and inventory counts accurately Support team members in daily operations by sharing responsibilities such as serving customers or restocking supplies Keep detailed records of transactions, shift reports, and incident reports when necessary to ensure smooth operations Skills Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that fosters positive interactions Previous barista or coffee experience is a plus; familiarity with coffee preparation enhances your effectiveness in this role Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques within the food industry or café environment Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods Basic math skills for cashiering duties including cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing registers Ability to serve customers confidently while promoting products and upselling when appropriate Experience in serving or food preparation helps deliver quick, quality service in fast-paced settings Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and assist customers seamlessly Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a lively retail or café atmosphere Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
